Sensory Dissection

Flavor

Silver Needle

SweetFloralSmoothFresh

Silver Needle is the most delicate white tea, made only from downy spring buds. The infusion is pale and quietly sweet — melon, cucumber water, and a soft honey finish — with a silky, weightless body. It rewards patient brewing and close attention; drinkers used to bold teas may find it subtle at first. Quality buds should be visibly fuzzy and silvery.

Yue Guang Bai

HoneyedFruityFloralSweet

Yue Guang Bai, or Moonlight White, is a Yunnan tea named for the silvery-dark contrast of its leaves — one side dark, one side pale — said to be withered under moonlight. The cup is smooth and honeyed with notes of dried apricot, gentle florals, and a lingering sweet finish. It drinks somewhere between a white tea and a very light young sheng, with more body and fruit than typical Fujian whites.
